Many strong candidates as predicted by some pageant experts did not place like Miss Puerto Rico who look like a doll. Many said that her plastic surgery cost her the chance of winning the crown. Miss Hungary and other candidates who are not early favorite went on to place in top 15. Colombia has only one winner and that was 50 years ago so if she win today that will be a big celebration in Colombia and she might be exempted in tax and receive other valuable price from their government.
The last time that the Philippines placed was 1999 with Miriam Quiambao but the Philippines has the highest record of Miss Photogenic, thanks to the Internet and Filipinos who support their candidate. Flipinos are known to be a beauty pageant fanatic. This year edition Donald Trump will not be attending the pageant according to some rumors. Anyway since he pick 5 of the total candidates for semi-finals, I hope his son will choose Asians candidates. Donald is known to love blonde ladies than bronnette.
